Direct Marketers as opposed to Network Marketers…
Posted on 10 June 2010
In my post of June 9, 2010 I spoke about the 97% that are not successful at network marketing because they were basically lazy and wanted someone else to build their network for them. Now, one of the local network marketing companies realised that the average joe out there does not like selling, so in their pitch, they highlight the fact that they will do the selling for you the client, they will build your network for you! They are also the only company I have come across so far that actually pays it’s marketers to market(that’s in addition to the commission that they earned from their downline) – this payment is of course performance related. These guys sold up a storm and made quite a good living, but the networks below them, grew very slowly, as they say when you throw mud on a wall “some of it sticks and some doesn’t.” The network marketing company didn’t mind those that dropped off, they were at least getting the first premium, and maybe, they would get them for a few months. These guys are NOT Network Marketers they are Direct Marketers which is a numbers game, whereas Network Marketing is a relationship game – remember that distinction.
And so we come back to finding committed people, if they are not committed don’t bother with them, I am hoping through this blog to find committed people.
Let’s recap on what we have learned so far regarding what the best network marketing model/product must have. First, we want to be able to market “GLOBALLY” the days of one on one presentations, and rah rah meetings to promote whatever the product is are over! Second, the people that you introduce to the network model/product must be selected with care, these are “The 3%” who are as committed as you are to building the business. Third, the network model/product must allow you to build long term residual income! Forth, focus on ONE product. Fifth, build relationships!
Tomorrow we continue with our search for the best network model/product…
